The Opinel Barbecue Set is a timeless companion when you're socialising and eating with friends.

It is practical and useful, and it is made up of three utensils manufactured in France using eco-friendly local materials:

  • The N°12B folding knife: This is a new size of knife with a 16cm stainless steel blade and a sturdy wooden handle made of beech from French forests. It is fitted with a safety collar that locks the blade in the open and closed positions. It also has an opener at the end of the handle for opening bottles and hanging the knife.

  • The Spatula+: The stonewashed finish stainless steel spatula fits onto the handle of the N°12B knife and locks in place with the safety collar. Its large surface (8.5cm x 20cm) makes it easy to pick up food quickly. It has a narrow angle and a bevelled edge on both sides for separating or scraping.

  • The XL tongs: These tongs in stonewashed finish stainless steel are 40cm long and make handling food easy and safe. The asymmetrical heads allow you to grip large items with the notched wide angle and grasp smaller ones with the narrow angle. They also have a grid-lifting slot at the heel.

Opinel

Originated as a ‘working man’s knife’, now a unique and timeless household object passed through generation to generation.

Invented by Joseph Opinel in 1890, a then budding photographer based in the Savoie region of France with a passion for new machines and innovative technologies.

The Opinel knife was created for its simplicity, robustness and functionality.  Over 130 years later, this distinctive wooden-handle knife has a range of accessories and blades available to suit your lifestyle, whether that's kitchen use, outdoor foresting or extreme adventures.

The beech wood handle is a tribute to the pocket knife's traditional design. Used as a paring knife, a serrated knife, a peeler and a vegetable knife.

If your use is for extreme terrain and weather conditions, there is also a polymer handle to guarantee good resistance to water and very high temperatures.

The Opinel knife is a design icon, remaining unchanged for over a century. Opinel was recognised by the Victoria and Albert Museum in 1985 as one of the 100 best designed items in the world.
